How does matchmaking work?

Tap Play to broadcast that you're available. Rally finds the best opponent based on skill level, distance, reliability, and activity — no browsing or choosing. The system picks the match for you.

How is my skill level determined?

You set your own skill level (1.0–4.0) when you create your profile. After 5 completed matches, your skill level is calibrated by opponent feedback and takes over automatically.

Can I play both tennis and pickleball?

Yes! Set skill levels for either or both sports in your profile. When you tap Play, you choose which sport you want to play right now. Sport lives on the ping, not on your profile.

What happens if my opponent doesn't show up?

After each match, both players report whether the opponent showed up. No-shows affect the opponent's reliability score, making them less likely to be matched in the future. Your reliability recovers over time if you consistently show up.

How do I find courts near me?

Tap the Courts tile on your dashboard. Rally shows nearby tennis and pickleball courts using community-contributed data. You can report how many courts are currently free and correct court details.

Can I play the same person again?

After a completed match, both players are asked "Play again?" If you both say yes, you become Rally Connections. Connections get a small boost in future matchmaking, making rematches slightly more likely.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@rallytennis.uk with the subject "Delete my account" and the email address associated with your Rally account. We will delete your data within 48 hours.

Is my data safe?

All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We don't sell or share your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
